About
The Blackbird and the Crane is the studio of Samuel Cragg, an artist based in Scotland who graduated in sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art in 2002. He designed and built the studio in his back garden. It is equipped for working in wood, metal, clay, fabric and paint, with a digital suite and a large-format darkroom, and is where the drawings, paintings, pinhole photographs and objects on this site are made.
